Location: San Diego, CA
Salary Range: $45/hr. to $65/hr.

SUMMARY: TRABUS is looking for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage security measures necessary for implementing applicable requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). The FSO will serve as an alternate point of contact for all industrial security concerns, and provide security expertise, guidance and advice to management and staff. TRABUS isn’t looking for someone who will simply go through the motions, but someone willing to go beyond expectations, do something important, and make a true difference. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work all facets of the personnel security clearance process to include, initial request, indoctrination, investigations, re investigation, continuous evaluation, etc.
  • Provide initial security briefing to new employees, and debriefings to departing employees
  • Develop and administer a security education, training, and awareness program for both cleared and non-cleared personnel
  • Manage DISS and NISS accounts
  • Process incoming and outgoing visit requests and certifications through DISS and in the future NBIS
  • Investigate and report security violations as prescribed in the NISPOM
  • Perform incident/adverse information reporting
  • Perform on site self-inspections and on site DCSA Vulnerability Assessments of programs.
  • Liaison with Prime contractor FSOs and prepare CAC and Badge Request for employees
  • Implement and monitoring all aspects of the NISPOM Rule, 520507_Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3, Vol 4, And the Intelligence Community Directives (ICD’s) are implemented to prevent unauthorized disclosure of classified information
  • Manage classified government contract programs (SAP) and provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of a secure facility, including oversight of the personnel, information, and physical and security awareness fields. Lead self-inspections to confirm current compliance status and work with stakeholders to determine a mitigation strategy. Maintain document control, personnel records, and combination records.  Provide timely response to after-hour alarms.
  • Check PO Box for classified document receipt.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a national security related field and 5-8 years of experience as a Facility Security Officer or in lieu of degree 8-10 years' experience in industrial security program management
  • Ability to develop/document/implement new processes
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word
  • FSO Program Management Certification for non-possessing facilities
  • Experience with NISP security, facility clearances, personnel clearances, providing oversight for classified projects
  • Be skilled in both written and verbal communications with employees and clients, in report writing, and with the sensitivities when counseling, advising, and conducting investigations
  • Detail oriented
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:
  • Must have a Top-Secret Clearance
EDUCATION: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
US citizenship and a final DoD adjudicated Secret Clearance is required.
