SUMMARY: TRABUS is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Senior Network Test Engineer. The Senior Network Test Engineer will provide planning and execution of Developmental Testing of Unmanned Systems for Developmental ANTS that shall test and assess ANTS through the development phase. The test and assessments shall include the following: establishment and completion of testing; creation of evaluation and assessment plans, procedures and reports in designated exercises or venues; analysis of results; and preparation of testing, analyses, and assessment reports. The testing and assessment shall include development of hypotheses, test and evaluation setup and execution, and reporting of preliminary and final results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform Test and Evaluation including developmental testing and user acceptance.
  • Design a test plan for specific events when the measure of effectiveness of a given technology is either unknown or requires validation.
  • The test plan shall be approved by the program manager or designated representative prior to any test activity taking place.
  • Analyze and assess the vulnerabilities in the functionality of systems, subsystems and components that are COTS, NDI, or GFE.
  • Identify design compensation and other potential solutions for such vulnerabilities and safeguards against them.
  • Create assessments, conduct studies, and perform analyses to enhance knowledge of existing and future capabilities.
  • Test and assess projects throughout the project life cycle. The test and assessments shall include the following:
    • Establishment and completion of testing
    • Creation of evaluation of procurement and assessment plans in designated exercises or venues
    • Analysis of results
    • Preparation of testing, analyses, and assessment reports
  • Testing and assessment life cycle shall include development of hypotheses, test and evaluation setup and execution, and reporting of preliminary and final results.
  • Provide lessons learned and operational insights for future test and evaluation requirements.
  • Perform Test and Evaluation including developmental or operational testing and user acceptance.
  • Shall design a test plan for specific events when the measure of effectiveness of a given technology is either unknown or requires validation. The test plan shall be approved by the program manager or designated representative prior to any test activity taking place.
  • Analyze and assess the vulnerabilities of Unmanned Weapon System, ADNS, Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES) and other Network communications platformsThe Contractor shall identify and document the means to mitigate vulnerabilities according to the government cybersecurity requirements schedule.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in network engineering
  • At least five (5) years of experience with configuration of OSPF, PIM, IGMP, VRRP, and IPSec (as implemented with HAIPE devices)
  • An understanding of network security best practices; an understanding of RHEL iptables
  • An understanding of the use and configuration of encryption devices (KG-175D, KG-175F, KG-175N)
  • Hold active The CompTIA Security+ or CCNA Security, or higher certification (e.g. CISSP)
  • Hold active Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent level of vendor certifications
  • 1 year in using network test tools such as Spirent TestCenter/Avalanche, Wireshark capture with nTAP devices
  • 1 year experience in writing test plans, test procedure, test reports

  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, procedural compliance, and the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously while meeting deadlines
