We are looking for a COLUMBIA Submarine IPDE CM Support Technician who can join our team and make an immediate impact through their creativity, enthusiasm, and technical abilities. Our COLUMBIA IPDE CM Support Technician will provide direct support to the PMS397 IPDE Manager in efforts to implement major program development, deployment, and training initiatives with the goal of leveraging significant program investments in IPDE across the COLUMBIA Class Program. As a COLUMBIA Submarine IPDE CM Support Technician your responsibilities will include:
Act as the primary POC for COLUMBIA Class configuration management and related tool capabilities.
Support the program Systems Integration Teams (SITs) through thorough knowledge of the existing IPDE toolset in order to allow Navy users access to the design data via the existing Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI)/Unclassified-Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (U-NNPI) network infrastructure.
Review contract configuration management processes, recommendations, and compliance.
Advise PMS397 SITs on configuration management issues, including review of submarine change documentation.
We’d expect you to have the following qualifications and/or education requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Data Management, Knowledge Management
Be familiar with existing Submarine configuration management processes, change documentation and toolsets.
Have existing knowledge of submarine configuration management processes, issues and resolutions including drawing types, change document types and management of changes and nonconformances.
Have experience and familiarity with Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM software for the design-build environment
You will be an even better fit if you have experience in these areas:
Able to manage hull specific changes in any integrated toolset
Have experience separating specified technical data from specific build data to avoid model re-disclosure (drawing change) for construction changes that do not impact form, fit or function
US citizenship and a final DoD adjudicated Secret clearance is required.
